Meet the Team
David Pollock
Founder & CEO
A resident of Escondido, CA, David Pollock was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, and graduated from Duquesne University with a degree in Music Performance. He soon made his way to San Diego, CA to serve four years in the Navy Band Southwest. With honorable discharge in hand, David turned his interest in rehabilitating family homes and rental properties into a career as a general contractor.
After obtaining CSLB “B” general contractor license in both law and trade, David founded SolHome, formally We Build San Diego, and originally launched as Confidence Builders in 2009. Since then, David passed the state C-10 electrical exam to add an additional license classification for PV solar installations. A veteran-owned and operated firm, SolHome has become known for personalized, high-quality service and exceptional workmanship. David’s passion for excellence carries over to his team and under his leadership, SolHome is fast becoming a premier builder and solar company throughout San Diego County.
Ian Felley
Sales Assistant
San Diego native and blended family man of 7 with close to three decades in construction, Ian has performed in every facet of the industry from Laborer for track homes, Union Commercial Lather and Framer, Residential Finish Carpenter to Foreman. Rounding out his experience, Ian traded in his hammer and tool belt for a laptop and briefcase and is now in the office heading up sales.
Leslie Garcia
Office Manager
The first-class office manager and well-rounded entrepreneur, Leslie have over 20 years of management experience and another decade of HR experience. While running a tight ship at work, Leslie knows what’s important at home: family, hiking, and good music.
Troy Johanson
Project Manager
An expert in construction management, reading plans, building master schedules, and developing client relationships, Troy can make things happen. He spends his time on job sites, hiking the local trails, playing softball, and teaching his firstborn how to be a boss.
